" Mistura Pura Looking For The Angels

It was 1979 when Italian TV released the first episodes of Charlie’s Angels and I, a six years old little girl, would stick myself to the screen to watch, and get hypnotized. I know the whole series by heart, image, colour, and script included. 30 years have passed, and I have been thinking about this a lot, before finally releasing my homage to a TV series which has no comparison to any other. If from the Angels I have taken the determination, the strength, the grit of my way of being a woman today , from Jack Elliot and Ally Ferguson I have taken the first musical ‘know-how’. Their soundtrack and the numerous jazz arrangements they produced for the different episodes seem to have literally brought me up to what my music project Mistura Pura is now: jazz, funk and bossa nova. As a dj, my first goal has been to stress the Latin-funk, jazz-funk and samba-jazz of the late Seventies, which have become particularly fashionable today within the dj culture world while. In recording these four tracks, I have tried to be as honest as possible, and to save the ‘authenticity’, in homage to a golden period of music in California, calling to play those Italian and European jazz and funk musician who have the best drive. In the EP, there are two different versions of the tune Charlie’s Angels (The second, jazz-funk version, is inspired to the most famous two episodes of the series: Angels in Chains and Consenting Adults, 1976-77) and two unpublished tunes: Looking for the Angels and Angels on a Cruise. This work is a crossroads between California (its jazz funk, Latin funk and jazz of the 70s’ West coast), Europe (in particular classical music), and Brazil (bossa nova), between the Pacific ocean and the Mediterranean sea"
Enjoy it and let's dance with the '70th "latin funk" and "bossa jazz" Angels!

(Angels in chains/Consenting).
